Can The Highline hold a large cat like a Maine Coon?

The Highline holds up to 33 lbs / 15 kg, which is enough for most cats, including large breeds. If more than one cat shares the wall, we recommend letting them cross one at a time.

Which length should I choose?

The Highline comes in four wall spans: 35.4 in / 90 cm, 39.4 in / 100 cm, 47.2 in / 120 cm and 55.1 in / 140 cm. Measure the free, flat wall space where you want to mount it and pick the length that fits. Shorter sizes suit small rooms and tight spaces, longer sizes cover more of the wall.

How do I install The Highline?

Fix both end platforms to the same flat wall, at the same height, using the included mounting screws. A drill is needed. For the most secure hold, mount into wall studs or use anchors suited to your wall type. On drywall, use expansion anchors (not included). Check the screws from time to time.

How will my cat get up to the bridge?

Cats do best when the bridge is part of a route, not a stand-alone perch. Place a step or shelf within an easy jump of the first platform. A Skywalk step, climbing ladder and perch (the Skywalk Starter Kit) is a ready-made way up, and every Skywalk platform is rated for 33 lbs / 15 kg, the same as The Highline.

Will my cat actually use it?

Most cats need a little time to trust something new. Let your cat sniff it first, then place treats or a favorite toy on the platform and along the first slats. The slatted walkway has a slight natural give, which is part of the suspension bridge design, so let your cat explore at their own pace.

Will it leave holes in my wall, and can I use it in a rental?

The Highline is screw-mounted, so removing it leaves small screw holes, similar to taking down a shelf or a picture frame. They are easy to patch. If you rent, check with your landlord before drilling.
