MeowShelf Refund & Return Policy
We want you to be completely happy with your MeowShelf purchase. That’s why we offer a 30-Day Return Policy, giving you 30 days after receiving your item to request a return or resolution if the product isn’t quite what you expected.
To provide you with the fastest and most efficient solutions, we process requests differently depending on the situation. Please read our guidelines below.
1. Damages, Defects, and Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon reception. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, please contact us immediately at hello@meowshelf.com so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
To resolve the issue as quickly as possible, we require clear photos or a short video showing the defect within 7 days of delivery. Once verified, we will issue a full refund or send a free replacement immediately. You will not be required to ship the damaged item back to us. We will handle the dispute with our supplier on our end, so you don’t have to wait!
2. Eco-Friendly Resolutions (Change of Mind / Sizing)
At MeowShelf, we are deeply committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Local and international return shipping generates a significant amount of unnecessary CO2 emissions.
For change-of-mind returns, sizing issues, or cases where your cat simply isn't interested, our Eco-Friendly Resolution Standard apply. Physical returns are not guaranteed and are accepted solely at our discretion. As a goodwill gesture, we may offer a partial refund or store credit allowing you to keep the item — this is assessed case by case and is never guaranteed.
You can then donate the brand-new item to a local cat shelter, gift it to a friend, or repurpose it. This is a fast, hassle-free win-win for you, the local pet community, and the planet. Please email us to discuss your situation.
3. Traditional Return Process & Shipping Costs
If you decline our Eco-Friendly Resolution and still wish to physically return your item for a full refund, you must contact us at hello@meowshelf.com to get the correct return address and authorization.
Please carefully note the following conditions:

Customers are fully responsible for paying their own return shipping costs for “change of mind”, sizing issues, or buyer’s remorse. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

MeowShelf operates with international fulfillment centers. Depending on the product, you will be required to ship the item back to our local or overseas warehouse at your own expense.

We do not provide prepaid return shipping labels for non-defective items.

You must use a trackable shipping service. We cannot guarantee your refund if the returning package is lost in transit by your carrier.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
4. Eligibility & Important Hygiene Rule
To be eligible for a return (if returning physically), your item must be in the exact same condition that you received it: unworn, unused, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Important Note on Bags, Carriers, Litter Boxes and Textiles:
Due to strict hygiene standards and the risk of pet contamination (such as pet hair, dander, or odors), all bags, carriers, litter boxes and textile items must be strictly unused to qualify. We kindly ask that you inspect the item for size and quality before introducing it to your cat. Any items returned with visible pet hair, signs of use, or odors will be rejected and will not be eligible for a refund.
MeowShelf reserves the right to deny any refunds if the returned item does not meet our eligibility criteria or if it is returned damaged due to customer misuse.
5. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards or clearance items explicitly marked as “Final Sale”.
6. Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to accept our Eco-Friendly Resolution (partial refund) or return the item you have, and once the process is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
7. Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your physical return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 8 business days. Please remember it can take some additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return/refund, please contact us at hello@meowshelf.com.
8. UK & EU Consumer Rights
Customers located in the United Kingdom and the European Union (including Ireland) benefit from a statutory right to cancel or return their order within 14 days of receipt, for any reason, without providing justification.
At MeowShelf, we go beyond this legal requirement by extending this window to 30 days for all customers worldwide, subject to the eligibility conditions stated in this policy.
Please note that in accordance with applicable UK and EU regulations, return shipping costs for change-of-mind cancellations remain the customer’s responsibility, as clearly disclosed in Section 3 of this policy. This applies to both the 14-day statutory window and our extended 30-day policy.
For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, Section 1 of this policy applies regardless of your location.
9. MeowShelf 1-Year Limited Warranty (for marked products)
Select MeowShelf products, explicitly marked as such on their product page, are covered by a one-year warranty against functional defects (flaws in the product’s design, materials, or workmanship that prevent it from operating as intended). If you experience any issues with a warranted product within one year of delivery, please contact us. Proof of defect(s) in the form of photos/videos will be required.
Please note this warranty does not cover standard wear and tear or pet damage. The method of resolution (repair, replacement, or store credit) is at MeowShelf’s discretion.
