Intricate embroidery detail — beautiful Japandi-inspired craft
Scratch-friendly texture — satisfies light claw urges too

SIZE & FIT GUIDE

Universal fit. The solid, non-sagging structure makes it perfect for heavy breeds (like Maine Coons or Ragdolls) who need stable support. Choose the larger diameter (19.7" / 50cm) for big cats to stretch out, or the smaller sizes for curling up.

WHY CATS LOVE IT

This item is handcrafted from natural plant materials. Slight variations in the weave tightness and color are a sign of authentic artistry, not defects. The natural grassy scent is safe and often appealing to cats.

MeowShelf Tip

Because of its firm, textured sides, this bed doubles as a horizontal scratching post. Place it near your sofa to give your cat a "furniture-approved" scratching alternative that also serves as a cozy lookout spot for family movie nights.

Dimensions & Specs

Small: 40 cm x 10 cm (15.7 in x 3.9 in)
Medium: 45 cm x 10 cm (17.7 in x 3.9 in)
Large: 50 cm x 10 cm (19.7 in x 3.9 in)

Materials

Hand-woven from natural, eco-friendly corn husk or rush grass for the exterior ring. The interior is filled with high-density EPE foam for long-lasting shape retention. The top decorative panel is a soft, breathable cotton-linen blend.

Care

Do not machine wash or submerge in water, as this can damage the natural straw fibers. Vacuum regularly to remove dust. For stains, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then let it air dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

Which size should I choose?

Small is 15.7 in / 40 cm across, Medium 17.7 in / 45 cm and Large 19.7 in / 50 cm, all 3.9 in / 10 cm high. Pick Large for big cats who stretch out, a smaller size for cats who curl up. The firm, non-sagging base supports heavy breeds too.

How do I clean the Tatami Zen Pouf?

Vacuum it regularly to remove dust and fur. For stains, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then let it air dry completely. Do not machine wash or soak it: water damages the natural straw.

Does it really keep my cat cool?

Yes. Woven natural straw breathes and stays cooler than plush, which is why cats tend to move to it on warm days. In winter, add a light blanket on top for a cozier feel.

Will my cat scratch the straw?

The woven texture satisfies light claw urges and the weave is firm. It is a bed first, though, so keep a dedicated scratcher nearby for heavy scratchers.

What is it made of, and is it safe?

The ring is hand-woven from natural corn husk or rush grass, filled with high-density foam that keeps its shape, with a breathable cotton-linen top panel. The light grassy scent is natural, safe and often appealing to cats.

Does it need assembly?

No, it is ready to use out of the box. Because each pouf is handcrafted, slight variations in weave and color are normal and part of its charm.
