Which size should I choose?

Medium is 16 in / 40 cm wide and 10 in / 25 cm high, for cats up to 12 lbs / 5.5 kg. Large is 19 in / 48 cm wide and 12 in / 30 cm high, for cats up to 20 lbs / 9 kg. Both have an 8 in / 20 cm entrance. Between sizes? Choose Large.

How do I clean a wool cat cave?

Hand wash gently in cold water with a wool-friendly detergent, reshape it while damp and let it air dry flat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Between washes, a quick vacuum removes fur.

Will my cat be too hot inside in summer?

No. Merino wool regulates temperature naturally: it keeps your cat warm in winter and stays surprisingly cool in summer, unlike synthetic caves that trap heat.

Can I use it as an open bed?

Yes. Use it as a closed cave, or fold the top open to turn it into a flat bed for cats who prefer to sleep in the open.

Is the wool safe for my cat?

Yes. It is 100% natural New Zealand Merino wool, hypoallergenic and chemical-free, felted by hand by skilled artisans.

Is the Merino Cocoon the same as a cat cave or cat cocoon bed?

Yes - the Merino Cocoon is our felt cat cave design, sometimes called a cat cocoon bed. It is hand-felted from 100% New Zealand Merino wool, with a narrow entrance that mimics a den for cats who like to burrow and hide. It fits cats up to 12 lbs / 5.5 kg (Medium) or 20 lbs / 9 kg (Large).

What is the return policy?

We want you and your cat to be completely happy! That's why we offer an easy 30-day window to request a return or resolution. Just email our friendly support team, and we will work with you to find the best and fastest solution. Please check our complete Refund Policy for conditions and details.
